ChoiceOne Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Patricia Brown to Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer.
“It is truly a pleasure to announce the promotion of Patricia Brown to Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer,” said President and CEO of ChoiceOne Bank Kelly Potes. "Patricia joined ChoiceOne Bank 22 years ago and has always focused on serving her team and our customers. In the many roles she has played over the years within our organization she has always led by example. Her solid expertise in banking, business development, and problem solving – in addition to knowing and understanding her local client base – makes this promotion a natural progression in Patricia’s career with ChoiceOne Bank.”
Joining ChoiceOne Bank in 1996 as a bank teller, Brown progressed through the organization to Branch Manager in 2011 and Vice President, Regional Branch Manager in 2015. Brown is currently the Bank’s CRA Officer.
Brown has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Baker College in Muskegon. She also graduated from the Perry School of Banking, Michigan Bankers Association, in Lansing. Brown will graduate this year from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Active in the communities she serves, Brown is currently Treasurer for the Coopersville Area Chamber of Commerce, Secretary for West Michigan CRA Association, and Director of Membership for Mid-Michigan Banking Group. Brown was also instrumental in overseeing ChoiceOne Bank’s Partnership with the Fremont Area Community Foundation to launch the Kickstart to Career Child Savings Account program. This program will provide an education savings account and financial literacy training for over 500 Kindergarten students in Newaygo County. Last year, ChoiceOne Bank, led by Brown and her team won the 2017 National Community Bank Service Award presented by the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) for providing innovative banking solutions and bi-lingual financial literacy programs to the employees of local farms.
